Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a visible sign of an invisible grace and can be administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness.
As explained in the Catechism, “This sacred anointing of the sick was instituted by Christ Our Lord as a true and proper sacrament of the New Testament. It is alluded to by St. Mark, but is recommended to the faithful and promulgated by James the apostle and brother of the Lord” (CCC 1511; Mark 6:13; Jas. 5:14-15).
If you need to receive the Sacrament and be in touch with a Priest, please contact us: by e-mail [email protected] or by telephone: 902-466-6183
We will also be celebrating the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at Weekday Mass. This will normally take place on the last Monday of the month throughout the year. Please check the parish calendar to confirm the date, or watch the newsletter.
